Germany — built for German-speaking travellers

Hin & Weg GmbH

The travel app that turns a vague "somewhere warm in October" into a day-by-day plan you can actually follow.

  • Trip planning
  • Deal alerts
  • Offline guides

Nine days off and seventeen browser tabs

You know the evening. The holiday is approved, the dates are blocked, and somehow you spend four hours bouncing between a flight comparison site, a hotel map, a blog from 2019 and a group chat where three people say "sieht gut aus" and nobody books anything. By midnight you have a shortlist of two cities you are no longer excited about.

Hin & Weg exists because that part of travelling is the only part nobody enjoys. We build one app that holds the whole middle bit: where to go, in what order, on which days, and what it is going to cost you to get there. Not a booking engine pretending to be a friend — a planner that does the boring arithmetic so you can make the fun decisions.

Everything is written in German, by people who fly out of German airports and know that a connection in Frankfurt on a Friday is not the same thing as a connection in Frankfurt on a Tuesday.

What the app actually does

Destination discovery that takes your constraints seriously

Tell it your dates, your rough budget and how far you are willing to travel. It comes back with places that are warm when you are free, open in that season and reachable without three changes.

An itinerary builder that knows how long things take

Drag a museum to Thursday and the travel time moves with it. Days that are too full say so, and the plan stays readable instead of turning into a wall of notes.

Deal alerts on the routes you care about

Save a route and a date range, then forget about it. You get a ping when the fare drops — not a daily newsletter about cities you never mentioned.

Offline guides for the moment the signal dies

Download the city before you fly. Maps, your plan, addresses and opening times all open in airplane mode, in a tunnel, or on a ferry with one bar.

German first, not German translated

Written for travellers starting in Germany, Austria and Switzerland — departure airports, holiday weeks and the kind of detail a machine translation flattens.

From "somewhere nice" to boarding pass

  1. Say when, and roughly how much

Dates, budget range, departure airport. That is the whole setup — no questionnaire about your travel personality.

  2. Pick from a shortlist you did not have to research

A handful of destinations that fit the constraints, each with the season, the flight time and what the week typically costs on the ground.

  3. Build the days

Drop in the places you want to see and let the builder spread them across the trip, with travel time between them already counted.

  4. Download it and go

The finished plan and the city guide live on your phone offline. Alerts keep watching the route until you tell them to stop.

What you end up holding

At the end of an evening with Hin & Weg you have one thing instead of seventeen: a plan. It reads like a short list — Tuesday, the ferry at ten, lunch near the harbour, the museum that is closed on Mondays so it is on Wednesday instead. You can send it to the person you are travelling with, print it if that is your style, or leave it on your phone where it works with the signal off.

We are deliberately not a travel agency. Hin & Weg does not hold your money or stand between you and the airline — when it is time to book, you book with the provider you chose, and the plan updates around it. What we take care of is the part before and after: finding the place, ordering the days, and making sure the information is still in your pocket when the roaming gives up.

If something in that sounds like what you have been missing, the form below is the shortest way to talk to us — whether you are a traveller with a trip in mind or a tourism brand wondering how destinations show up in discovery.

Tell us where you are headed

Leave your name and email and we will come back to you — with early access, with answers, or with the right person if you are asking about a partnership.

  • A person from the Hin & Weg team reads every message — no auto-reply loop.
  • We will get in touch shortly after you send this.
  • First thing we ask: where you are going and roughly when.
